Prayer for Humility in Leadership and Service
PRAYER 1 – Thanksgiving for the Privilege to Lead and Serve
Father, I thank You for the opportunity and grace to lead and serve others. Thank You for trusting me with this responsibility and for equipping me to serve with excellence – 1 Timothy 1:12
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.
PRAYER 2 – Asking for a Humble Spirit
Father, remove every trace of pride or self-glory from my heart. Help me to lead with humility, putting others before myself, and always acknowledging You as the source of every success – Philippians 2:3
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
PRAYER 3 – Asking for the Heart of a Servant
Father, grant me a heart like Christ’s, willing to serve rather than be served. Let my leadership reflect compassion, kindness, and a readiness to help without seeking recognition – Mark 10:45
For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
PRAYER 4 – Asking for Wisdom and Grace in Service
Father, give me wisdom and grace to lead effectively, making decisions that honor You and bless those I serve. Let my actions inspire others to follow You wholeheartedly – James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
PRAYER 5 – Thanksgiving for God’s Help in My Leadership
Father, I thank You for strengthening me to serve well and for shaping me into a leader who reflects Your love and humility. I know You are working through me – 1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

Pride will find no place in me, and every decision I make will be guided by love, wisdom, and humility. I will serve diligently, lead honorably, and remain teachable, knowing that true greatness comes from serving others in the fear of the Lord.
