Prayer to Remain Humble in Life

Published August 12, 2025 by Prayer Team

PRAYER 1 – Thanksgiving for God’s Grace
Father, I thank You for the gift of life, salvation, and every blessing You have given me. Thank You for guiding my steps and helping me to walk in Your truth – Psalm 100:4
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

PRAYER 2 – Asking for a Humble Heart
Father, help me to keep a humble spirit no matter how much success, blessings, or recognition I receive. Remove every seed of pride and make me gentle and lowly in heart – James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

PRAYER 3 – Asking for Teachability
Father, keep my heart teachable and open to correction. Help me to value the wisdom of others and to learn daily from Your Word and those You have placed around me – Proverbs 11:2
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

PRAYER 4 – Asking for a Servant’s Heart
Father, give me the heart of a servant, willing to serve You and others with joy. Let my life reflect humility in my words, actions, and decisions – Philippians 2:3
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

PRAYER 5 – Thanksgiving for the Answer
Father, I thank You because You are molding me into the image of Christ, who is meek and humble. I am grateful for the grace to live in humility every day – Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

DECLARATION
I declare that I walk in humility and grace daily. Pride shall have no root in my life. I will remain teachable, gentle, and willing to serve, no matter the blessings I receive. God’s Spirit is shaping my heart to reflect the humility of Christ, and my life will be a testimony of meekness, gratitude, and love. In every season, I will honor God with a humble spirit.
