Prayer When You Are Feeling Down

Published August 15, 2025 by Prayer Team

PRAYER 1 – Thanksgiving for God’s Presence
Father, I thank You that even in moments when I feel low, You are near. Thank You for never leaving me and for being my strength and refuge – Deuteronomy 31:8
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

PRAYER 2 – Asking for Renewal of Strength
Lord, lift my spirit and renew my strength. Help me to rise above discouragement and face each day with hope and determination – Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

PRAYER 3 – Asking for Peace and Calmness
Father, calm every storm within me. Let Your peace rule my heart and mind, silencing every worry, fear, and anxiety – John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

PRAYER 4 – Asking for Joy to Return
Lord, restore the joy of my salvation and fill my heart with gladness. Let Your presence be my delight and my source of strength – Psalm 16:11
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

PRAYER 5 – Thanksgiving for God’s Faithfulness
Father, I thank You for lifting me up when I am down. I believe that You are turning my situation around for good – Psalm 40:2
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

DECLARATION
I declare that I will not remain downcast. The Lord is my strength, my peace, and my joy. He lifts my head, renews my hope, and gives me the courage to move forward. I will walk in faith, knowing that God is working all things for my good, and I will end this season stronger than I began.
