Morning Prayer When You Wake Up Feeling Down

PRAYER 1 – Thanksgiving for Life and God’s Faithfulness
Father, I thank You for the gift of life, for waking me up this morning, and for Your unfailing love that has kept me through the night into a brand-new day – Lamentations 3:22–23
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

PRAYER 2 – Asking for the Oil of Joy
Father, fill my heart this morning with the oil of joy instead of mourning, and clothe me with the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness – Isaiah 61:3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

PRAYER 3 – Asking for Peace and Strength
Father, flood my heart with Your peace that passes all understanding, and strengthen me in my inner man to face today with courage – Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

PRAYER 4 – Asking for a Fresh Perspective and Renewed Hope
Father, open my eyes to see the blessings You have already placed around me today, and let my hope rise in You afresh – Psalm 42:5
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

PRAYER 5 – Thanksgiving for Answered Prayers
Father, I thank You because You have heard me this morning. I thank You because my joy is restored, my peace is renewed, and my heart is lifted – 1 John 5:14–15
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

DECLARATION
Today, I walk in joy, peace, and strength. My spirit is lifted, my mind is renewed, and my steps are ordered by the Lord. I am more than a conqueror, and this day will end in praise.
