Prayer for Strength to Trust God in Difficult Times
PRAYER 1 – Thanksgiving for God’s Past Faithfulness
Father, I thank You for every moment You have carried me through in the past. Even in seasons of hardship, You have been my refuge and provider, proving that You never leave nor forsake Your children – Lamentations 3:22–23
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
PRAYER 2 – Asking for the Grace to Keep My Eyes on Him
Father, in the midst of these difficult times, help me to keep my focus on You rather than the storms around me. Strengthen my heart to trust in Your promises more than the challenges I see – Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
PRAYER 3 – Asking for Unwavering Faith in Trials
Father, teach me to stand firm in my faith regardless of what I face. Let my confidence be rooted in Your unchanging Word and not in temporary circumstances, for You are able to work all things for my good – Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
PRAYER 4 – Asking for Joy and Peace Amid Hardship
Father, fill my heart with unshakable joy and peace that surpass all understanding, even while I wait for my breakthrough. Let my spirit rejoice in knowing that You are with me and working behind the scenes – Philippians 4:6–7
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
PRAYER 5 – Thanksgiving for the Answer
Father, I thank You because I believe that You are strengthening my faith and giving me the grace to trust You fully. I know that my present challenges are temporary, and my victory is certain through Christ – Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
